Kamrad Khoshhal Roudposhti

Kamrad Khoshhal Roudposhti is an assistant professor in Lahijan Branch of Islamic Azad university.

Kamrad Khoshhal Roudposhti received the Ph.D. degree (in electrical and computer engineering) from the University of Coimbra, Portugal in 2014  under supervision of Professor Jorge Dias. During PhD study,  Kamrad has also collaborated with the European Project PROMETHEUS, Prediction and interpretation of human behaviour based on probabilistic structures and heterogeneous sensors, within the 7° framework FP7 (from 2008 to 2011) and European Project APSUBA - Active Perception for Scene Understanding and Behaviour Analysis (APSUBA): An application for Social Robotic (from 2011 to 2012).  During the Ph.D. research Kamrad Khoshhal Roudposhti was sponsored by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology.

Kamrad was a Postdoc researcher at the (ISR-UC) Institute of Systems and Robotics - Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering - University of Coimbra, Portugal, within the group of Professor Urbano Nunes, collaborating with AMS-HMI12 ( ASSISTED MOBILITY SUPPORTED BY SHARED-CONTROL AND ADVANCED HUMAN-MACHINE INTERFACES) project from 2014 to the end of 2015.

From 2016 to 2017, Kamrad  had this chance to be a postdoctoral research associate in the Texas state University under supervision of Dr. Vangelis Metsis. He was  involved with Dr. Metsis research group, which is active on bio-signals processing for various applications such as sleep event detection and human computer interaction. We have analyzed bio-signals such as EEG,EOG, EMG … to extract proper features with respect to some interest events and human behaviors, for instance: leg movements, sleep stages, sleep apnea,… in sleep disorders detection application, and also for human emotions detection in Human-computer interaction application. We were also investigating on supervised learning approaches to perform a suitable classifier for the mentioned purposes.
