Intelligent Systems Laboratory
The Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL) researches advanced algorithms and analytical methods for the design of robust decision making systems. The ISL group interest are systems for machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, human behavior analysis, social signal processing, body movement analysis, and natural intelligent systems.
Eldercare, medical bioinformatics, healthcare, human-machine interaction, rehabilitation, and human-emotion/social-behavior analysis are our main interest applications. Research at ISL focuses on efficient computational methods for deriving optimal decision strategies from high-dimensional, probabilistic problem representations.
